I have to finally admit…
…that Carl Sagan is slowly convincing me that the human race has some purpose in the universe. As a first-class misanthrope I’m really having a hard time with this.
“We are a way for the Cosmos to know itself…”
*sniff*
See, it all started when I got the XBox 360. Now I can stream Netflix straight to my TV. Right around this time I added the Cosmos series to my instant queue. It’s fantastic.

Carl Sagan rocks.
Also, Neil Degrasse Tyson pretty much re-inspired me into having an interest in astrophysics, science, etc. He really gets excited about the stars.

I think much of what the human race does is futile, but the Cosmos is an amazingly beautiful thing and it would be shame for it not to be known. As in, by our consciousness and curiosity. See? Now I’m sounding like him…
